Determination of Infusion Filter Efficiency applying Dynamic Light Scattering

Abstract Filter membranes (pore size 0.2 μm) are frequently used to perform a sterile filtration. To characterize the pore of filter membranes, method determine particle retention nanoparticles was defined. The Dynamic Light Scattering first analysed and calibrated correlate concentration with absolute intensity scattered light. Afterwards, standard suspensions sizes 0.150 μm 0.239 were lead through an infusion evaluated by determination original filtrated concentration. test retained 91% smaller 98% larger particles. Evaluating could be time saving lesser effort compared existing methods.
